Professional Volunteers Serving the TNRD — 24/7, 365 Days a Year

Kamloops Search and Rescue (KSAR) is a highly trained, volunteer-based emergency response organization dedicated to protecting lives across the Thompson–Nicola Regional District (TNRD). When people are lost, injured, or in distress in the outdoors—or when communities need emergency support—KSAR is ready to respond.

In an emergency, always call 911.

HELP IS AVAILABLE

Why KSAR Matters to Our Community

The TNRD is home to vast wilderness, rivers, mountains, backcountry roads, and year-round outdoor recreation. With that comes real risk. KSAR exists to ensure that when something goes wrong, help is available—quickly, professionally, and at no cost to those in need.
