Why KSAR Matters to the TNRD

What Is KSAR?

Kamloops Search and Rescue is a volunteer-based emergency response organization serving the Thompson–Nicola Regional District.

What Does KSAR Do?

KSAR responds to missing persons, injured individuals, outdoor emergencies, and disaster-related incidents — at the request of RCMP and Emergency Services.

Who Pays for Search and Rescue?

KSAR never charges the people it rescues. Services are funded through donations, grants, and community support.

Why Is KSAR Important?

Without KSAR, emergency response in remote and wilderness areas would be slower, more limited, and less effective.
